BATS We will be implementing a new bat checking protocol for the 2011 season Only bats approved by DESA can be used in league games. Approval of a bat will include a DESA sticker being placed on the bat. Players who have or purchase a bat they wish to use in the 2011 season will be responsible to provide the bat details and the bat itself to DESA so a verification can be done and a sticker will be provided by a member of the executive if the bat is approved for use. No bat without a DESA sticker can be used in a DESA game. Labels are 38mm x 8mm (1-1/2" x 5/16") and come in blue for bats approved to be used by either men or women or pink for bats that are approved to be used by women only; ie, compositesA bat check will be held May 15th (see below) where players can have their bats checked and approved before the regular season starts. You are free to choose not to have a sticker placed on your bat but that bat may not be used in any DESA game. Bats can be checked and approved throughout the season as neede. If you are purchasing a bat check it against the NSA CANADA approved bat list below to ensure it will be approved for use in our league.
N.B. Only women can use composite bats. Sunday May 15th South Courtice Arena Main Flr Meeting Room 4-6pm ~Please bring your bat(s) with you!~
